BIBLE STANDARD CHURCH
                                                                                          WHAT WE BELIEVE AND TEACH

THE HOLY BIBLE is the word of God; both the Old and the New Testament. We believe that it was God who inspired His Holy men as they wrote. And we take the
word of God as the final authority in all matters concerning Christianity. 2 Tim.3:16;  Acts 17:11;  Mt.15:8-9

DOCTRINES thought by the Lord Jesus Christ must be strictly obeyed and nothing of God  teaching  Doctrines should  be changed or corrected. 1Tim.4:16,17,6:3-5;
Titus 2:10; Mt.16:12, 16:12, 28:19-20; 2 John 9-11; Jude 3; 1 Tim.1:3-4; Romans 16:17-18; Rev.22:17-21.

ALL GOVERNING BODIES in the world are divinely appointed by God for the purpose of the Law and  Order in  Society which need to  be obeyed and be  praying
for.  Ps.2:8-10; Is.2:1-5,26:2-3; Jn.11:50-52; Mt.22:21; Romans 13:1-7.

THE GOD HEAD consists of three separate and distinct person, possessing separated distinct and recognizable personalities and qualities, perfectly united in one. The
Father, the Son, the Holy Spirit are different persons in the God head, not merely three names for one person. Mt.3:16-17; 2 Cor.13:14; Mt.28:19-20; 1 John 5:6-8.

THE VIRGIN BIRTH OF JESUST. The only begotten Son of God, the Crucifixion death burial and body resurrection of Jesus Christ. Is.7:14; Mt.1:18-25;       
Romans 1:4; 1 Cor.15:3-5.

THE TOTAL DEPRAVITY. Sinfulness and guilt of all men since the fall rendering  them subject to God  is wrath and condemnation. Psalm 51:5, Job 14:4           
Romans 5:12; Mark 7:21-23.

REPENTANCE is a complete turning away from sins and its deceitful pleasures and it is required from every sinner before he can truly and effectively believe in Jesus
with saving faith. Proverbs 28:13; Is.7:14; Heb.18:21-23; Mark 1:15; Luke 24:46-47; Acts 2:37-38,3:19; 20:20-21; 2 Cor.7:10; Heb.6:1-3

RESTITUTION is making amends for wrong done against our fellow men, restoring stolen things to their rightful owners, paying debts, giving back where one has
defrauded, making confessions to the offended and apologizing to those stranded in other to have a conscience void of offence towards God and man. Gen. 20:1-8,14-18
Heb.22:1-17; Lev.6:1-7; Num.5:6-8; 2 Sam.12:6; Proverbs 6:31; Heb.3:14-16; Mt.5:23-24; Luke 19:8-9; Acts 23:1-5; Acts 24:16; John 4:17.

JUSTIFICATION OR REGENERATION is the act of God’s Grace whereby one receives forgiveness and remission of sin and is counted righteous before God,
through faith in the atoning blood of Jesus  Titus 3:5; I Pt. 1:23.

THE ENTIRE SAFISFACTION is a definite act of God’s Grace subsequent to the new Birth, by which the believer’s heart is purified and made Holy. It cannot be
attained progressively by work, struggle or suppression, but it is obtained by Faith in the sanctifying blood of Jesus Christ. Holiness of life and purity of heart are central t
Christian living. Luke 1:74-75; John 17:15-17; 1Thes.4:1-7,3:7-8; Eph.5:25-27; Heb.12:14; Titus 1:11-14; 1 Peter 1:14-16; Mt.5:3-8; Mark 11:24,9:23;

THE GIFTS OF THE SPIRIT is provided for all believers in the body of Christ for edification and operation. Mark 16:17-20; 1 Cor.12:1-31; 14:1-10; Eph.4:11-16;
Acts1:8-12  

THE REDEMPTION from the curse of the law, healing of sickness and diseases as well as continued health are provided for all people through the sacrificial death of
Jesus Christ. Ex.15:26; Deut.7:15; Psalm 103:1-5; Proverbs 4:20-22; Is.53:4-5; Mt.8:16-17; Mark 16:15-18; Luke 13:16; 15-18; Luke.13:16; Jn.14:12-14; Acts 10:38
James 5:14-16; Gal.3:13-14

THE BAPTISM OF THE HOLY GHOST is the endurement of power  from on high upon the born-again believers.  It is  the promise of the Father and when one
receives this Gift of the Holy Ghost , it is accompanied by the initial initially evidenced by speaking  a language  unlearned previously, or not known .The Holy Spirit
baptism is always essential for every Believer. Mt.3:11; Luke 3:16; 1 John 7:37-39; 16:12-15; Mark 16:17; Acts 2:1-18; 10:44-46; 1 Cor.12:1-31; 14:1-10                 
Mt 16:17-20; Ephesians 4:11-16.

PERSONAL EVANGELISM is a God given ordained ministry for every believer. Jesus commanded and God required every believer to be a compassionate and fruitful
soul winner, bringing others to Christ. Mt.28:19-20; Mt.16:15; Luke 24:46-49,9:14,17:18-20; John 17:18; Acts 1:8,8:14; Psalm 126:5-6; Proverbs 11:30; Dan.12:13
Heb.3:17-21; Acts 2:38-39; Gen.19:12-14.

THE FRUIT OF THE SPIRIT should be seen in every spirit filled believer. The fruits are love, joy long suffering,peace, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness,
temperance. Gal.5:22; 1Cor.13:1-10; Eph.4:3-6; James 3:18.

MARRIAGE is the binding for life  monogamy is the uniform teaching of the Bible.  Polygamy is the contrary to God’s perfect will and institution. The bible forbids a
believer marrying an unbeliever. Also under the New Testament dispensation, no one has the right to divorce and remarry while the first companion lives. When a person
becomes converted necessary restitution on this line must be done without delay if he has married wrongly. Gen 2 :24; Dt.7:1-4; Joshua 23:11-13; 2 Cor.6:14-18

THE RESURRECTION of the dead is taught in the Bible as clearly as the immortality of the soul.  Every individual who has ever lived will be resurrected, some to
honor and glory and others to everlasting shame and contempt. Job 19:25-27; Psalm 71:20; Is.26:19; Daniel 12:2; John 5:28-29; 1 Cor.15:12-57; 2 Thes.4:13-16;
Heb.5:1-2; Phil.3:8-11; Rev.20:4-6.

RAPTURE “commonly referred to as the first phase or stage of the second coming of Christ is the catching away from the earth of all the living Saints and all who died in
the Lord.  The rapture will take place before the great Tribulation and can happen any time from now.  In a twinkling of an eye without moment’s  warnings the trumpet
shall sound” and the dead in Christ shall rise first.  Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and so
shall we ever be with the Lord.  John 14:1-3; Luke 21:34; 1Cor.15:51-58; 1Thes.2:5-7; Phil.3:11,20-21; John 3:1-3.

THE GREAT TRIBULATION will occur after  the Rapture and there will be a time of terrible suffering on earth .It is  also referred to as the time  of Jacob’s trouble .
Mt.24:21, 22, 29;  Rev. 9:16; Mt.13:19; 2 Thes 2:3-12; Rev.13:1-18. During this time ,the Anti Christ will take possession of this world for a reign of terror .He should
not be a system or organization but a person of supernatural, diabolical being, in the form of a man who will blaspheme and proclaim himself to be God. Dan.8:23-25        
2 Thes.2:7-12; Rev 13:1-10.

THE JUDGEMENT SEAT OF CHRISTW. When Christ will give rewards to the Saints and the marriage supper of the lamb will take place in Heaven while the
Tribulation continues on earth. 2 Cor.5:10;  Rev.19:1-10.

THE CHRIST MILLENNIAL REIGN in the 100 years literal reign of Jesus on  earth, which will be ushered in by the coming of  Jesus aback to earth with his Saints
who will reign with him .At this time He will judge the nation that dwell upon the face of the earth. Jude 14:15; 2 Thes.1:7-10; Rev.20:2,3. During that time the Devil will be
bound. Rev.20:2-4. It will be a reign of peace and blessing. Hosea 2:18; Zechariah 14:9-20; Is.2:2-4

WATER BAPTISM as an essential step towards our reconciliation with God and discipleship of Christ. The Baptism is one immersion and not three, going in the name
of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Mt 3:13-17; Luke 3:21

THE LORD SUPPER as instituted by Jesus Christ that all Believers (all members of the family of God) might partake regularly to show the Lord’s death till He comes.
The enblems used are unleavened bread and the juice of the fruit of the Wine. Anyone who eat and drinks unworthily brings to himself damnation, punishment and
chastisement. Mt 26:17-30; Acts 20:6-8; 1 Cor.10:16-21
                                 AIMS AND OBJECTIVES OF THE CHURCH

To gather together all Believers Worldwide who are desirous of Associating for the purpose of studying
the Bible upon which the church is established.

To revive and maintain the standard of Holiness and perfect love.

To assist one other to be saved and ready for Christ second coming;

To organize the saved ones to reach the unsaved;

To serve as the centre for prayer for all Christian leaders worldwide as a whole.

To foster  unity among all Christians at all areas;

To help needy members as and when it is desirable;

To deliver the oppressed from the bandage of the devil and heal the Sick from their various diseases.

                                         
 
                                                        
MEMBERSHIP
Membership is open to:
-Those who are prepared to set aside their previous convictions about God and are ready and prepared
to accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior and to live according to such dictation;
-Those who have accepted Jesus Christ as their only savior and protector:
-Those that are ready to accept the beliefs and teaching of the Church.

                            
                                                        
AFFILIATIONS

The Bible Standard Church has sisterly relationships or affiliations with some churches which share
similar doctrinal beliefs and ideas namely. The Apostolic Church, Assemblies of God,, Deeper life Bible
Church etc. The church is a registered member of the Ghana Pentecostal Council.
